Some journeys begin with a carefully planned roadmap, while others start with a simple habit. For Ellora Chaliha, the path to becoming an internationally published author, award-winning poet, and accomplished storyteller began with a commitment to reading just one book every month.

What started as a personal reading challenge soon evolved into a lifelong passion. Month after month, each book added new perspectives, ideas, and inspiration. Over time, that habit grew into a mini library at home, creating an environment where creativity could flourish and stories could take shape.

The turning point came in April, when years of reading and reflection translated into an extraordinary creative breakthrough. Within a short period, Ellora Chaliha completed the first draft of a book while also writing more than 600 original quotes. It marked the beginning of a new chapter, proving that consistent learning often lays the foundation for remarkable creative expression.

Determined to challenge personal limits even further, Ellora Chaliha participated in a 21-day poetry challenge, committing to writing one poem every day. The result was an inspiring collection of 21 original poems, a body of work that earned the prestigious 21st Century Emily Dickinson Award, recognizing excellence in contemporary poetry and creative writing.

Writing soon became more than an artistic pursuit. It became a gateway to continuous learning and professional development.

Driven by a desire to master the art of communication, Ellora Chaliha successfully completed Storytelling and Influencer Management from the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM Kozhikode), achieving an impressive 99% score. This was followed by a Digital Marketing certification from Symbiosis Pune, strengthening her expertise in modern communication, branding, and audience engagement.

Becoming a triple graduate reflected her unwavering commitment to combining creativity with practical business knowledge. Rather than viewing storytelling as a standalone skill, Ellora embraced it as a powerful tool capable of influencing individuals, brands, and organizations alike.

That dedication culminated in the international release of her book, Poetic Justice, making the work accessible to readers across the globe. The book was launched on major online platforms including Amazon, Flipkart, Barnes & Noble, and Walmart, allowing a wider audience to experience its message and literary voice.

Following the successful release of Poetic Justice, Ellora Chaliha was honored with a National Excellence Award for Women Empowerment and Entrepreneurial Initiative, recognizing both her literary contributions and her efforts to inspire others through creativity, education, and entrepreneurship.

The growing importance of storytelling in today’s professional landscape has only reinforced her journey. Recent discussions across global business communities, including coverage highlighting how storytellers are becoming the new generation of corporate communicators and public relations professionals, reflect a broader shift toward authentic communication and meaningful narratives. At the same time, IIM Kozhikode, one of Ellora’s alma maters, has continued to gain international recognition through its impressive global rankings, further strengthening the value of the education that helped shape her career.

Today, Ellora Chaliha continues to build on this momentum. Alongside writing and public engagement, the promotion of Poetic Justice is now reaching wider audiences through an association with PVR Cinemas, marking another significant milestone in an already inspiring journey.

From building a personal library one book at a time to becoming an internationally published author, award-winning poet, and lifelong learner, Ellora Chaliha demonstrates that success is rarely achieved overnight. Instead, it is built through curiosity, consistency, education, and the courage to transform ideas into stories that inspire others. Her journey stands as an inspiring reminder that a simple habit, nurtured with discipline and passion, can grow into a legacy that reaches readers around the world.
